About us

Award-winning Playwright, Kate Wilson

After completing a first-class degree in Creative Writing at Edge Hill University, Kate went on to smash the competition to be awarded the 2022 Dame Janet Suzman Playwrighting Prize for her heartwrenching play about the Forest Brothers, Baltic freedom fighters in Soviet-occupied Lithuania. She recently achieved her MRes in Creative Writing at Edge Hill University with oustanding feedback from her viva panel. Kate lives in Preston where she is developing a number of plays and television scripts. Kate enjoys finding sea glass on Lake District beaches and hates it when Sarah writes her 'About' biography. Never a fan of dappled shade when driving, she nevertheless puts up with it while travelling the British Isles in search of writing inspiration and a cool Airbnb experience.

Ipod-Mini-winning Pickle Jingle Writer, Sarah Murray

After graduating with a first-class degree in English at Edge Hill University, Sarah studied Linguistics at Cambridge University. Sarah currently works in senior management in the Health and Social Care sector. Sarah lives in Liverpool and is in the process of developing a number of television scripts. Sarah's greatest talent is her Victorian dialogue (maybe she is secretly a time traveller). When she isn't complaining about her broken foot, Sarah writes to an outstanding capacity, not one grammatical error, with a touch type of five million words a minute. Sarah is thrilled that Kate is writing her 'About' biography as she couldn't have put it better herself. P.S. no one tells a story like Sarah does. Sarah once won an Ipod mini in a contest to write a jingle for a pickle company in the North East of England. The company sadly went into administration very soon afterward but Sarah doesn't think her jingle was to blame. The pickle people may disagree...

In September 2023, Sarah was shortlisted for a Channel 4 Writing for Television Award in partnership with New Writing North. She will be taking part in the associated Script Development Group in late 2023/early 2024.

Both Kate and Sarah are currently unrepresented and would be interested in hearing from potential agents.
